ARTIST FOR "TO WHERE I BELONG"

So, after some time I have finally decided on an artist for my manga story "To Where I Belong", and the awesome artist chosen is Maika Lamperouge. Thank you for everyone who have sent in an application, and all of you who have showed an interest in the story. It has been a difficult judging process (especially at the end), but in the end, Maika was chosen because of her super awesome BACKGROUND drawing skills *______*

About the people whose applications I rejected, it does not mean your work is not good enough. It is only because your style did not really match what I am looking for ;D Please do not feel bad! Also for the runner-up (you know who you are because I have sent you an email), if you like there is another story you can draw, but details will be in the email I sent you ;D

About this Layout

Although this site is called Darkness Studios, I have moved away from the dark/black-coloured themes into the more refreshing colours since summer is approaching XD I have had the past few layouts all designed around Darkness, and this time the main theme is Ice. The character in the top banner is Naru, the Ice Mage (from my story "To Where I Belong"). Where is our mascot you ask? I think he is on leave. XD *shot* Sadly there is no html code for snowflakes or ice blocks, and I don't want to use hearts, spade, diamonds and clover or whatever limited icons... so I used # for the menu bar this time. Still using tables and different columns to contain the large amount of content on the site. I still like stretchable layouts, but sadly for this time the banner is not designed to stretch with the contents... because only plain banners can be stretched... or repeatable patterns, which do not look as nice as a custom image ;D Although, as you see, I have removed certain links such as old contests and old calendars, there are still a lot of links... and the store will be expanding soon, so I will have to code more as well <_<... (No, not that I don't like it. I like coding when I am in the mood XD).
